PERAN AYAH DALAM MATERNAL ROLE ATTAINMENT PEMBERIAN ASI DENGAN PENDEKATAN RAMONA T. MERCER DI POSYANDU AYAH

ABSTRAK

Peran ayah dalam mendukung pemberian ASI ekslusif sangat penting karena ayah turut menentukan kelancaran refleks pengeluaran ASI dimana hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh perasaan ibu. Pencapaian peran ibu bisa berhasil bila ibu menjadi dekat dengan bayinya dan mendapatkan dukungan dari pasangan (suami). Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan peran ayah dalam maternal role attainment pemberian ASI.

Desain penelitian analitik korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional, pada tanggal 9 Juni s.d 24 Juni 2018, di Posyandu Ayah wilayah kerja Puskesmas Plandaan Jombang. Populasi semua ayah dan ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 0-6 bulan sejumlah 35 orang, besar sampel 35 responden. Teknik total Sampling. Variabel independen peran ayah, variabel dependen maternal role attainment. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengetahui peran ayah dan observasi cara menyusui yang benar pada ibu, data diolah dengan uji statistik Chi Square.

Hasil penelitian sebagian besar (54,3%) ayah mempunyai peran negatif sebanyak 19 responden, dan sebagian besar (60%) maternal role attainment diperoleh hasil tidak tercapai sebanyak 21 responden. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan ρ=0,013 < α=0,05 dan koefisien korelasi=0,388. Artinya ada hubungan “tingkat hubungan rendah”.

Peran ayah dalam maternal role attainment pemberian ASI mempengaruhi tercapainya peran ibu dalam memberikan ASI ekslusif pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan. Pemberian ASI ekslusif sudah mencukupi kebutuhan gizi bayi. Maternal role attainment bukan hanya dipengaruhi oleh peran ayah, ada faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya seperti faktor dari diri ibu, faktor bayi, dan dukungan sosial. Seorang ayah hendaknya dapat berperan aktif memberikan bantuan emosional dan bantuan praktis dalam pemberian ASI agar maternal role attainment pemberian ASI dapat tercapai dengan baik.

ABSTRACT

The role of the father in favor of exclusive breastfeeding is very important because the father helps determine the smooth reflex of breast milk expenditure in which it is influenced by the mother's feelings. Achieving the role of mother can be successful when the mother becomes close to her baby and get support from the couple (husband). The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of father role in breast feeding maternal role attainment.

Analytical research design correlation with cross sectional approach, on June 9 sd.d June 24, 2018, in Posyandu Father working area Puskesmas Pombangaan Jombang. The population of all fathers and mothers with infants aged 0-6 months was 35, a large sample of 35 respondents. Total sampling technique. Independent variable of father role, dependent variable of maternal role attainment. Data collection using questionnaires to determine the role of father and observation of the correct breastfeeding method on the mother, the data is processed by Chi Square statistical test.

Most of the research (54.3%) of fathers had negative roles of 19 respondents, and most (60%) maternal role attainment obtained result was not reached as many as 21 respondents. Statistical test results obtained ρ = 0.013 <α = 0.05 and correlation coefficient = 0.388. This means there is a relationship "low level of relationship".The role of the father in the maternal role attainment of breastfeeding affects the achievement of the mother's role in exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months. Exclusive breastfeeding is sufficient for the baby's nutritional needs. Maternal role attainment is not only influenced by the role of the father, there are other factors that influence it such as factors of the mother, baby factor, and social support. A father should be able to play an active role in providing emotional support and practical assistance in breastfeeding so that maternal role attainment of breastfeeding is well achieved.
